How Are Local Moves Priced
Local residential moves are charged on an hourly basis + "extras" (sometimes called "accessorial charges").
The main factor is the number of men and trucks performing the job and the time it will take them to load up the truck, drive to the new address and unload the truck.
Other charges may be packing, crating, special insurance or any additional services you may need.
A local move may take a couple of hours or a couple of days, depending on the amount of goods moved and the services requested.

When to Move
The busiest times of the month are the last five days and the first five days of every month.
If you are considering a move during those busy times of the month, it is a good idea to book your move at least two weeks in advance, though not always necessary.
